Re: whats the rarest car you've seen on the street?
if you're in the london area and hang around mayfair-knightsbridge, you'll probably have seen the same black SLR driving around that I have been seeing for the last two weeks.....
also, for some strange reason, last saturday, there was a group of four ferrari (348,355,355 spider and a 360CS) driving around soho/picadilly. |

I also saw a Rolls Royce Phantom stretch limousine while driving to the Hamptons.

I saw the Bentley Continantal GT at the country club I belong to twice in the past 2 days.
I also saw a 1930's Mercedes 500 K. One of my favorite sightings... A Ferrari 308, and literally a bunch of Maseratis/Porsche Cayenne Turbo's The new Jeep Commander (Limited w/ Hemi) Chrysler 300C SRT8 (first time seeing one) BMW 850. Never see 8's around here, so that was nice My friend and I discoverd a rather large empty space thats nothing but dirt and pebbles for doing stunts in our Jeeps (both identical, 1995 CG Laredo's with the 4.0L I6 engine) that is located right below a very busy srteet. I nicknamed it the Nuremberg, despite the lack in size, or pavement. But the only drawback is that its clearly posted at the entrance "City property No trespassing". But that hasent stopped us yet...

Re: whats the rarest car you've seen on the street?
I've seen a Zimp, infact I've seen 3 on the road at the same time which is quite amazing really as there were only ever 3 made. I know the guy who discovered the locations of them and then bought them all in time.
You've probably never heard of it....the Zimp was the Zetago bodied version of the Hillman Imp, each of the three cars is unique as well.

Hmm.. the ones that stick out in my mind are:
2000+ Lotus Esprit TT V8 Lambo countach/diablo vt/gallardo/murcielago Ferrari 360/512/and 348 i think Bentley Arnage R/Continental GT Aston Martin Vanquish Delorean A couple of BMW 850s and a BMW 2002 NSXs, Vipers and M3s are almost daily occurences I've seen one car around where I live a couple of times, but I have no idea what it is. I think its a lotus, it looks to be from the '70s. It was a small yellow hatchback with a fairly long front end. The back was pretty vertical too. Just wish I knew what it was. |

Yesterday, I saw a Porsche 911 Turbo, an old Ferrari convertable (couldent identify), a Ferrari Testarossa, and a Lamborghini Gallardo (the second Lambo I've ever seen, the first was a Diablo SV). And these were all in a line following each other. And this is Minnesota.
And I also recieved word that when my friend gets his licence, his dad in Texas (who's filthy rich), will be giving him a 2003 Mercedes S600. And when he graduates, a Bentley Continental GT. Boy I will be happy when that happens. And I met a girl the other day who's dad owns a white Dodge SRT-10 and a 50th anaversary Corvette.

I saw a Lamborghini Gallardo about 2 times in my city and now I never see it. I live around Seattle, I am sure anyone that lives near this area saw it.

And today when I was *ahem* ducking out of class early, I was waiting for my friend (not the same person as above) to come to his car in the parking lot, and I look for no reason at all at the street, and a red Ferrari Testarossa drives past. And thats 2 in 4 days for me. Ferrari's are becoming too common around here...

Re: whats the rarest car you've seen on the street?
Your friend's dad is still a moron. Its not about being a good driver or not. Young drivers do stupid things. I was lucky enough to be doing them in a 75bhp FWD car. In an S600 the stakes are much higher.

I've seen Lambos, all types of Ferraris including an Enzo, Maybachs and Phantoms but best of all was probably a Jaguar XJ220. Didnt have my camera though. As Loads of people have said, Knightsbridge/Park Lane is THE best place to spot cars in London especially the Dorchester |
