Smile Best-Riding Tires for Freelander?

I have an '04 Freelander HSE vehicle with 225/55-17 tires. They're currently Michelin Synchrones. I use my vehicle on-road about 97% of the time. I'm looking for the absolute best tire from an NVH standpoint (could even be a passenger tire) if the load rating is 97 or above. I'm just looking for the quietest, smoothest-riding tire to fit on my beloved Freelander, cost be damned. Any info much appreciated!

My goal in buying new tires was the same as yours..........smooth and quiet ride. Try the Pep Boys Futura 2000 LTE tires. I know what you're thinking but I put them on my 02 Freelander and PRESTO goals accomplished and they cost all of $56 each. I like them so much I just put them on my 03 Toyota Camry, again at all of $37.50 each. Almost forgot, they have a 70,000 warranty too.
