Arrow Ferrari F2001 | Japanese GP 2001 | M. Schumacher | Tamiya 1/20

Hi everyone!

It's my second finished model - Ferrari F2001 from Japanese GP, driven by Michael Schumacher.

Paints: Tamiya TS49 & TS26 (on front and rear wings)

Clear coat: 2K Mobihel MS

Add-ons:
  • tobacco decals Tabu Design
  • carbon decals Scale Motorsport
  • F1 seatbelt set from Tamiya
  • antennas set for Ferrari F2000 / F2001 from Top Studio
  • rivets from Top Studio

Also I did some hand made add-ons:
  • front suspension arms bracing made from aluminum
  • one of the latches for seatbelts - the set contained only 4 of them
  • windshield was made from thin plastic, replacing the one from kit

Hope you will enjoy the photos!

Outstanding job. Possibly the only thing to consider would be rubbing the tread of the tyres gently on some wet and dry paper to get rid of the shiny look on the rears' Looks like you have done it on the fronts. But that is a very minor thing on what is a superb model.

Thank you very much! I did it but not enough I guess. Rubber was not in very good condition to be honest - you can notice that on the insides of the rubber the tyre markings are erased a little. The rubber became a bit sticky, I guess the kit was old enough.

What do you mean? What kit was used? It's Tamiya 1/20 scale kit.

That was a joke I guess. It's so perfect that mere mortals like us cannot actually believe it's only a kit and not the real thing

What do you mean by "my second finished model" ? Finished this year or in your entire modeller's life ?
