run rite cleaner

Took my 2003 durango in for shocks and ball joints. The idle was a little rough sometimes so they suggested a tune up as well. They also talked me into the run rite cleaner. When they were finished I went to start it and t died right away. I started it again and it ran but sounded like hell and was shaking really bad and knocking really loud. The exhaust smelled really bad. They said it was the cleaner and just had to burn out. Three days later they still have truck and it won't run. They sent it off to another shop and now say it has a broken spring and valve and might possibly need a new engine now. It ran fine when I took it in. My question now after this long boring explanation is could they have caused this damage from what they did?

Re: run rite cleaner

Dropped the cleaning tool (snake head) down the intake?
Just throwing the idea out there.

Re: run rite cleaner

Sounds that the shop repairs it rightly. You can recheck your whole engine, if possible, change another shop.
