golf will do 155. i've never tried it in my golf, but a friend had a spame spec V5 2-door and we hit the 155mph limiter a couple of times.
been faster in other cars, friends work in a tuning company. fast cars galore.

Of course the speedometer is not reliable after about 120 mph so take anything above that with a grain of salt.

I didn't go top speed in my camaro but It was faster than 110, which I've done in my nissan. You ain't got NOTHIN on me! except some stupid parking tickets...

About 140 in my old GSX...I don't know how accurate the speedo is once it gets up that high so it was probably lower.
