about 55 was the top for me ...but thats cuz im 15 and my mom wouldnt let me drive any faster..but when im 16...i think 105-110 on I-81 would work
but i have ridden in a E46 M3 of a friend of mines and been to the 120 mark and then saw cops. And a friend of my dads has a race tuned Esprit road car and i rode in that and got to 180 and then i was shitting my pants and hoping not to die

Okay so I was cruising my mom's 1998 Ford Escort ES Sport(about 92 horsepower to the wheels,a real man's car)on the highway going about 70-75 mph.I come across this rig going about 55.Well you know the phrase,Can't Drive 55,so I whip into the left lane(two-way road)and get on it.About halfway through the trailer(The Escort only took about a minute or two on good days to pass rigs.A true muscle car.)I see a Mack blasting right for me.So I rev the gutsy four cylinder to the point that the powerfull buzzing from the engine almost blew me ears out.I flip it over into the right lane just in time, the huge 13" tigerpaws screeching and pawing for traction.Threw all this conclusion,I realized I had not checked the speedo.96 mph!!!!Trust me,you will never know true performance untill you've revved an Escort to a whooping 96 mph.I became a man that day. :grey:

Hit the 250 KM/h limiter in the MB 400SE. Whee! I love having the Autobahn nearby.
{tm} It can growl. Oh yes it can. |

I regulary do 90-100mph on the B-roads going to work in the UK. Standard Focus.
The fastest was 140mph (probably 125-130 real speed) in my Civic VTi (B16a 160 bhp). It was a clear evening on the Motorway with 3 lanes to myself with about 500rpm to the redline then I sh*t it. |

the fastest, it was arround 230kmh (140mph) with an Alfa 166 V6 Turbo.
But usually, I don't overpass 170 (105 mph) on the highway in order to avoid fines and radars.

You can. The speed limit (on the higway) is, in France, 85 mph, but the radars are set on 100 mph. You can drive faster if you want : there are not as many radars as in England or, worse, in the USA.
In Italy, it's better, the spid limit is 95 mph (with a tolerance too). The best is, of course in Germany, where there are not speed limit.

I hit about 115 in my Cutlass one night and it still had a bit left, but I was on Highway 83 where the speed limit is 65 so I decided not to try to max it out.

This 166 is a 2.0 V6 Turbo 205hp. Very nice car and... very nice motor, as every time by Alfa Romeo ! 0-60mph : 7,9 sec. max speed : 155 mph.
It's the car of my sister's husband. You feel the turbo when you're accelerating. It's an exceptional car, nice to drive. But, it's not very big inside (for the size of the car), worse than a 5 series ! On the little roads, it's almost agile like a little GTI. And on the Highway, perfect stability and you can go quite fast without knowing it Finally, i can't forget to speak about the motor's song, so nice. And I hope I will be able to buy a 156 around 2004.
