2001 Kia Rio makes terrible noise!! HELP!
My family of 6 has been afoot for over a month now, so i need some help! My 01 Kia Rio when i start it it makes a terrible screeching that goes away when i push the clutch in..i had a clutch kit put in just over a year ago and was told that it is hyraulic and not to let anyone touch it or adjust it. That garage is out of business, so here I am asking what you think it could be. It runs fine otherwise. Thanks

Re: 2001 Kia Rio makes terrible noise!! HELP!
Hello, Some more details might be helpful. When you start the vehicle with the clutch pedal down, it does not make noise, correct? And when you let the pedal up, as in driving, it makes a screetch noise? Does it make the noise sitting idle, not driving, but in neutral with the clutch pedal up? Try to describe the noise more if you can, does it sound like a metal grind or a whine etc. Does the noise remain constant while driving, or does it change with engine rotation or does it go away at any point? Does it happen cold only or hot or all the time? In order for me to have somewhat of an educated guess, I'll need as much info as you can provide. Or atleast point you in the right direction.
