Removing Alternator plug on 2002 Ford Taurus
I have a bad alternator on 2002 Ford Taurus 3.0 liter engine.
The alternator is bad and i thought this was a piece of cake. I have a problem with the regulator plug. The battery plug which is held on with a hex nut came right off as expected. The other plug which is hard plastic has a small hole in the plug base which i think may be the release. Thanks for any info. I was told by the auto parts guy and the ford repair shop that the small hole at the bottom on the alternator will relese the connector. when i tried to release the plug it came off but the release broke. The new alternator plug seems to be fine without the release. Last edited by libraflo; 11-24-2018 at 01:31 AM. |
