90 GMC S15 Turn Signal/Park Light Problem

When I turn on the left turn signal, it blinks fast(the right turn signal works properly). When I turn the lights or parking lights on, a large solid left turn signal on the electronic instrument panel comes on and stays on all the time. The left parking light does not come on outside but the right one does. With the lights or parking lights on, when I turn the left turn signal on, it still blinks fast and it works outside. The large left turn signal goes off when I turn the lights off. I changed out the bulb on the left side but it didn't solve the problem. Any suggestions you can give me will be appreciated. PS. The normal functioning of the turn signals on the instrument panel is when either of the turn signals is used, a large turning signal with an alternating smaller signal is displayed on the instrument panel. The fact that when I turn on the left signal and it flashes fast must be telling me something is wrong with it but I don't know what it is.

Re: 90 GMC S15 Turn Signal/Park Light Problem

the lights are blinking fast because the rear socket assembly's are corroded. gm has a updated assemblies. i'm not too sure about the dash thing the printed circuit for the cluster might be corroded and crossing over to the park lights.

Sorry about not posting a reply to the answer to this problem but somehow I lost the web address and just now found it as I don't get on the web much anymore. The solution to my problem was a front bulb (can't remember whether it was a turn signal or running light bulb) but after replacing it all is well. Thanks for your help.
