Lowering front suspension

I've read how to lower suspensions, but I'm not sure on this one, any ideas?

It's the AMT 67 Mustang Fastback, to clarify, if anyone can help.

Remove the tabs that the shocks plug into from the frame. Then add some material to them on the underside and reattach them to the frame. This will move them 'UP' into the wheel well. You'll have to shorten the stock shocks as well. Make sure when you remove the tabs you are cutting them off where the meet the frame and along the top side of the frame, not the sides. To make it abit stronger you can also use some straight pins and drill some holes down into the frame and up into the tab and material added to it to help give it some strength. Drill the hole for the pin first, before cutting the tabs, it will help later with realignment.

On part #20, take the same thickness material you used on the frame tabs and add it to the "top" of the eyelet. Then shape the material to the eyelet and drill a hole through it.

Should be all you need to do. You just have to decide on how much you want to lower it. Just add the same amount of material to both spots and measure how much you'll need to shorten the shocks.

If my instructions arent clear, let me know and I'll see if I can explain it better. I have the same kit to use as the base for my Eleanor and I have to do the same thing, I just havent done it yet. If need be and I can do that on the weekend and take some pics to post to show if it will help.

EDIT : I just thought, if you do it this way, you'll also have to sand/remove some material from the bottom of the shock towers on the body.

for me I do lazy mans way. Cut off the tabs and just glue the brakes higher into the wheel well.
