Mommy van?

I wanted to make the mommy van feel at home, so here I am posting about it.

My family has a red 2000 Silhouette with the gold package, tan leather interior, chrome (yes, you read it right) wheels, power rear passenger slider, 6-seat (6 captain's chairs instead of a rear bench), roof rack, front heated seats, rear air and controls, rear radio, and rear parking aid.

Just for fun, I'll even get a pic of the mommy van up for everyone to laugh at!

Sorry Miss Angie, but I think I would admit to owning a Saturn before I admitted to owning a Silhouette!!!

No wonder you hid your confession in this obscure area.!!

Have your fun as you might, but I'd be willing to bet that these factory Chrome wheels are definately sportin' on our sexy mommy van!

Nah, the real road-tripper/fun van was our full-sized conversion.

Can't knock my van. 184,000 miles, bought it with 30,000 miles, have only had to change brakes, tires, plugs, wires, one water pump, and it still has the original exhaust that isn't even close to needing changed yet. It's been one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned.

Glad yours has been... Ours goes in the d@mn shop pretty much monthly for the same freaking problems. It goes in, the monkeys push some buttons, say nothing is wrong, order a part anyway, replace a part, and the problem comes back in about a month... Stupid van.

Wow... sorry to hear that. I'm not sure what year yours is, but I have recently found something else wrong at least with the early model. My front swaybar broke, and here in Butler, these vans are scarce ( I have found 4 in the local yards-maybe a good sign?) but all but 1 of the sway bars has been sold. I have to pick it up soon before someone else beats me to it. The last couple of years I have always just thought it handled bad 'cause it was a van. Now I know why. Keep it in mind if you have an older model.:flash:

Our 2001 sounds just like yours even to the push the buttons and nothing is wrong.40000.00 van latest technology, and they still can't fix it right.Even when it tells them what is wrong.Cherry on the sunday, so far 50% of the replacement parts were defective.Great batting average, but kinda crappy from the worlds #1 car builder.

.
JUST A SUGGESTION. IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH WARRANTY SERVICE AT YOUR GM DEALERSHIP. TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO YOUR NEAREST CADILLAC DEALERSHIP. I HAVE HAD EXTREMELY GOOD QUALITY SERVICE AT MORSE CADILLAC AND DIMMITT CADILLAC IN THE TAMPABAY AREA AND I THINK YOU WILL HAVE BETTER SUCCESS AT A CADILLAC DEALER NEAR YOU. IF IT IS A GM VEHICLE, ANY GM DEALERSHIP CAN HANDLE THE WARRANTY. GOOD LUCK. Charley

We have your van's Twin! This is the most troble prone vehicle I ever seen. The trans took a dump this weekend and had to be towed to the dealership. But Hey! Maybe they now have some time look at the power sliding door that randomly re-opens after closing and the drivers side door lock that like to just lock itself when ever it feels like it.

Also, I have the gold package on my van, but I guess since I don't have the chrome wheels I'm not quite "pimping".
