"Malfunction Electrical Consumers Switched Off"

2003 E 320. Vehicle will run fine for a month or two, then the "Malfunction Electrical Consumers Switched Off" will appear. Next morning the Battery is dead and have to jump it. Is this a common problem with this vehicle ? Does anyone know the cure ?

Re: "Malfunction Electrical Consumers Switched Off"

I know this post is old but hopefully it will help if you ever have this issue again. Usually on these models its either the driver or passenger seat module that goes bad and starts draining the battery overnight. It happened to my 03 E320. I bought a used one off eBay and it seemed to fix the issue. The module is located under the seat. Its a lot easier to diagnose if you have a star diagnostic scanner or any advanced scanner as the Battery control module will usually have trouble codes stored which will give you an idea as to what is causing the battery drain.
