Re: Would you buy a FWD Jeep?

As long as the question is "Would you buy a FWD Jeep?" I guess I would, just the same as I would buy a FWD or AWD Ford or Chevy or any brand, if thats what I was in the market for. I just wouldnt take it off road. If you had asked "would you buy a Compass? The answer is NO, because it is dog ugly.

Re: Would you buy a FWD Jeep?

maybe I'm old school, but jeeps are usually 4WD, capable of the rough stuff and don't look like Subarus. What a disgrace to the Jeep name, this new thing doesn't deserve to have the Jeep name.

Re: Would you buy a FWD Jeep?

I plan on buying one, but I wish it wasn't marketed under the Jeep name. I think that is they are going to have non "Trail Rated" vehicles, they should market them under the "Eagle" brand. They should have a complete line of AWD cars and crossovers under that name and reserve the Jeep name for the off road capable vehicles.

Nope. Not for me.

I agree that Jeeps should live up to their heritage, not be some ford escape knock off.

I guess Jeep has to do what it has to do to sell cars, but it still looks like crap. Also, R.I.P. 4.0, you will be missed.

Re: Would you buy a FWD Jeep?

I wont ever call this thing a Jeep, its honestly a disgrace...MBZ is sticking their nose WAY too much into Jeeps business. The 4.0 I-6 rocked, I have had 3. I dont want to think about getting the 3.7 V6. I dont trust V6's my F-150 has a V6 and it is kinda bad...the 96 jeep we had felt alot faster than my 03 and 01. And it felt WAY faster than the truck...well R.I.P. "the oringinal Jeeps"

Oh yeah from now on if I get a Jeep it damn better have a HEMI

Re: Would you buy a FWD Jeep?

Think about this: Jeep never had a very big lineup of cars. Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler. Soon, the Liberty and Commander were added, but the selection offered never appealed to a car buyer. If I were in the market for a new car, I'd buy the Compass. I could also see it as a rally car. Jeep sponsored rally car?! That'd be sic! I must suggest that to them...

My thoughts exactly. I like the idea and some of the features but it's basically a Caliber with a Jeep name and front fascia... wow...

Re: Would you buy a FWD Jeep?

It's the Jeep Aztek. Of course the Compass is going to be a lot worse for Jeep then Aztek was for Pontiac because the not only does the Compass look odd it also goes against everything the Jeep brand stands for.

And no I wouldn't buy one.
