Exclamation hail dent repair question

I have several hail dents on my car, I'm going to repaint the car shortly, what is the best way to remove these.. Should I try popping them out or is it better the fill in the holes and sand them?

Re: hail dent repair question

You need whats call a stud gun. Depending on the size of those dents which im guessing isnt big. Youll need to sand the paint down the the metal and three inches around the area for feathering. In the stud gun kit should have studs. Put a stud in te end of the gun and place the gun against the panel and press the trigger. Dont hold the trigger too long. Take the slide hammer that comes in the kit and attach it to to the stud. Move the slide hammer to pull the dent out. Get some wire cutters and cut the stud then grind the rest even with the surface. . Now mix up some mud and lay a smooth even coat. Cut the skin on top with 40 on D. A. and block the rest with 80. Maybe one coat of mud and sand with 80 then prime.
