Getting Keys cut.

We needed to get keys cut, we went to our local keycutters shop in Church St Twickenham and he tried using the Mazda blanks which looked ok but didn't work when we tried it, in the end what worked fine was a Ford Fiesta blank
so we got three sets at £4 each, lovely!!

My Bongo is still puffing out black smoke when we use kick down, any thoughts?

Your black smoke is probably caused by the auto-choke sticking open, and too much fuel is getting through to the carb.

Thanks for the tip about the keys.

And have you tried Bourne Road Mazda for servicing?

Turn out 'twas scored injectors and a blocked in-pump filter, which was fairly easily put right. Also now hoping for better than 18.5 mpg (aagh!) Watch this space.

Re: Getting Keys cut.

Hi,
My friend is a key-cutter and he managed to source the correct Mazda keys for the Bongo.
Anyone in the Portsmouth area should call in at 'Shoefix' in Cosham High Street.
Alternatively, he says he will post you out blanks to have cut at your local key place if you live further afield!.
E-Mail Tony at; Info@shoefix.biz
He's a very nice bloke. Tell him where you found out, as then he makes me tea when I visit him!
