This Audi RS4 fan-site has a section for the 'ring, it has the fastest times for the best supercars out there, Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo etc....
The times havent been updated in a while. The cars left out (that i know of) are: Jaguar XJ220 (not even in there) - 7mins 46s Porsche 996 GT2 driven by Walter Rohrl- 7mins 49s And the current record holder is a TechArt 600bhp 996 Turbo which lapped the Nurburgring in an astounding 7mins 34s anyway, here's the site, very interesting to see which cars lapped faster than others. See for yourselves http://www.rs4.org/rs4/rs4-fearture/...ring-times.htm |

About £137k, which is pretty good considering the amount of bhp you get, 520 and the resultant speed: 3.7 to 60 and 213mph V-max. Insane

I am NOT nationalist! It is to do with the softenest about them, they are just not tough enough. If they had invented cars like the XJ220 and the Diablo, real hard cars, then I would love them!

I suggest you find out more about Porsche. Their cars arent as you claim "soft". Have you heard of the 993 GT2? Its a race car for the road, harder edged and better to drive than any Lambo or the XJ220. Theres also the 959, the 996 GT2, the 993/996 Turbo;s, the legendary 2.7RS, all great drivers' cars. The fact is 911's are stupendous. The standard 911's are becoming easier to drive, but the GT models (GT3, GT2) are sensational drivers cars, the GT3 especially, which is one of the most sensational performance and handling cars in the world.
This is the 993 GT2. EVO mag describes it as a "hairy-arsed homologation special" What about the forthcoming Carrera GT? Powered by a 5.5 litre V10 producing 560bhp, sub 4secs sprint to 60, 200+mph top speed, what more do you want. Let me say it again: Porsche do not make soft cars. They make supercars. The 996 is now a GT. But the Turbo, GT2, and GT3are firmly in the world of supercardom. The Carrera GT is in a higher plane altogether. You cant compare Porsche with Lambo and Jag. The fact is the latter companies' racing records combined do not touch that of Porsche. And if you count the great drivers cars these companies have built, Porsche will come out on top again. M&S actually have a history of Porsche book selling for a measly £10. Its a nice book with good pics, although some cars have been left out, including the 993 GT2 grrrrr... but its a nice introduction into the world of Porsche. They have a Ferrari book too. Could make nice Xmas pressies cheers, jay |

My brother works for M&S, is it in the Home Section? I do know what you mean by the GT2, I have driven one myself. They are fun, but other cars are just not making it into my good books.
