Is the Valentine 1 worth it?

My SE gets me to work really quick these days, but the law will not approve of my spirited blasts down the beltway. Which is better the new Passport 8500 or the Valentine One.

The Passport is cheaper.... but then again so is driving the speed limit (yawn...).

Thanks in advance for any input / experience.

Well I have one and a Bell 980 which can be had for $220. The New Car and Driver has a great comparo.
I think the V1 is slightly better and arrows are unique but it depends on your budget?

Thanks for the reply See5, by the way my Max is Sterling Mist as well. Good color choice. I love the sleeper effect, I've been catching a few people off guard.

Go to radartest.com and you'll find some good information on both detectors. The V1 scored very badly, but the Passport did well and is simple to operate. I think a trip to Car Toys is in order...
