V-6 Volvo engine swap
Has anyone used/heard of/performed an engine swap in a 240 using the GM 3800 Series II engine? I've been given one that's complete and it sure would wake up the ol' brick!

Re: V-6 Volvo engine swap
Isn't that a front wheel drive motor? That won't work. You need to have a 3.8 out of a 87 or earlier Regal. If you can find a turbo 3.8 it would scream!

Re: Re: V-6 Volvo engine swap
Tom, in this case it's a rear drive motor from a mid-90s Camaro. I figure a 700R-4 would do the job for a transmission, I'm already dealing with a fuel injected car, ah...serpentine accessory drive interference and appropriate motor mounts are my first questions. I'm not too worried about havin' the poor ol' brick scream...I figure the swap would more than double the HP, not to mention the increase in torque, and I could, well...live with that! Here's hoping someone's tried this out already.
