1995 Ford Contour 2.0 auto tranny problem....ELECTRICAL? JUNKYARD?

I have a 1995 Ford Contour 2.0 auto and I have some serious tranny problems now......What happens is that when I am driving the tranny upshifts downshifts constantly with same throttle pressure and sometimes it acts like it goes into neutral then back into gear........This kills the S**^ out of the car goes to neutral hits rev limiter then slam back into gear. I was driving normally when this happened.......... Neone know what is wrong? It has been slipping from drive to overdrive for quite some time.............

Have you found out anything about your car?

I am frustrated and need help.

first check the trans fluid.add if needed.i would take it to a shop and have the trans flushed.clean the mass air flow sensor.

tranny prob

We replaced the Manual Lever Position Sensor and it ran fine for a while, but within 2 months we had to get a new transmission! Ours was doing exactly what you described.
