91 Dynasty Stalls after 1.5 seconds
Have a 1991 Dynasty 3.3 V6 (I believe) that will crank over but consistently stalls after only 1-1.5 seconds. I can rev the engine smoothly just in time for it to stall. If I work the throttle at the right rate I can get it to keep running extremely roughly enough to hear knocking coming from the air filter area. If I didn't know better, I would say that it is back firing out the air intake and I’m hearing it near the filter. The check engine light comes on at key on position but not after it stalls. It cranks over every attempt so I’m sure that it is getting fuel. The IAC motor was recently replaced and plugs and wires look relatively new. What could be doing this and not throwing on the check engine sensor.
Thanks in advanced for your input.

Re: 91 Dynasty Stalls after 1.5 seconds
take a look at the fuel pressure regulator. I think these give max pressure (45psi?) when cranking but decrease it to the normal rate (35psi?). Your regulator may be stuck and is allowing fuel pressure to drop too far.
