2004 kia spectra

what is the difference between abs and reguler brakes? I bought a 2004 kia spectra and i dont know if it has abs brakes.

Warrior, when I bought my Spectra the dealership told me Abs was really rare on these cars. The difference is abs allows you to stop much harder without the brakes locking and the driver possibly losing control.
