Just an update for everyone. I've driven over 3500 miles in the past few months, including a 1800 mile road trip. I've hauled gear, people and/or the boat all over the place and had one trip up into the hills where we worked the springs over good.

I'm still very happy with the leaf springs. They've dropped about 1/2 an inch now, but the ride is much smoother. Even with people and gear I'm not hitting the bump stops like I was with my old springs. The best part is they're very quiet. If you're going slow and have the windows down you can hear them squeek a little, but other than that no loud noises (like the stock springs).

XOC - FYI, when I finally got out and into the mudd, I watched the shock canister like you mentioned. I didn't have a single problem, even at full compression. There are no score marks on the can or on the sway bar mount.
