The effect of F+F3 on the 240sx

Does anyone have any idea how much the 240sx is really worth now? Do you think that the new movie F+F: Tokyo Drift will have a big impact on the value of one? S13/14/who knows ...maybe S12?

fuck that prices might change on s13 and s14 but s12 your stretching it big time are you nuts? only major drift cars that have exposure wil be affected if they are even affected

Re: The effect of F+F3 on the 240sx

(Disclaimer: s12 fans this is not the thread for you)

okay, forget s12s then. Focus on the S13 and S14. In my opinion, this movie looks okay but whether the fast and furious genre succeeds or fails, drift cars are getting even more popular.

Re: The effect of F+F3 on the 240sx

i think there's gonna be a boom for 240s, fds, fcs, rx7s and all of the rest.. thats part of the reason i'm selling my car.. the only problem is that by the time i have money for a new one IT will be more expensive too.. but i think the value will increase quite a bit after the movie comes out

Re: The effect of F+F3 on the 240sx

Is the movie coming out within a few months? I only have some months to sell it after college ends and then I have a stay of execution till my summer job starts up.

Re: The effect of F+F3 on the 240sx

i think it's gonna be import apocalypse....the automatic 240s are gonna get expensive and you're gonna see a whole lot of them riced just any car within their price range is gonna be a little more popular riced out, bad thing is there's a 350z, 240sx and a skyline in there + the thing is i wanna see it so i can review it but i don't wanna be seen anywhere buying tickets for that this summer

here's the trailer: http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/thef...okyodrift.html

"when you drift, if you ain't out of control you ain't in control" wtf? i don't like drifting and even i know it's all about being in control.......i can point out 5 mistakes from just the trailer

Re: The effect of F+F3 on the 240sx

well it is a controlled loss of control but thats beside the point.
if i was a theif i would be hitting up the movie theater parking lots like mad on opening night of this movie. come to think of it i think im going to start.
ill go see the movie for entertainment purposes

i think im going to sit out side the theater and walk w/ the crowds when the movie is over and see how many people say "man im going to learn how to drift now" of soemthing to that affect. then i can punch them in the face. and when i get arrested i will claim that im just trying to save lives

Re: The effect of F+F3 on the 240sx

question: half of us wanna sell our 240 when the movie comes out, why do you want to sell it, and what do you plan to buy, becuase from the way i see it everything else will raise in price and really in the end you have gained nothing. but thats just me.

Second, ya i could really careless. I mean the more 240's people buy, the most stupid shit they do, the more in the junkyard, the more easier it is to find parts.

Re: The effect of F+F3 on the 240sx

they'll go up. They wont get riced out anymore than they already are.....these cars are hard to find still. Iv noticed alot more around here already with the drift craze. But it seems to me that 99% of 240 people are performance oriented. Not show oriented they just want a clean ass 240. Thats just around here though i guess. I have yet to see a super ricey 240 around here. When i do, ill get a little disappointed, but then realize that i dont care because i know what i got. To each there own.

You'd kill me if I told you, and relax, it's not a honda. I'm selling my 240sx for a few reasons (I always have a few reasons)
1. It doesn't get good enough gas mileage
2. The speedometer goes to 110
3. The car goes to 110

Those are my few reasons, other than that, it's a great car.
