Cool Ram 1500 heater not heating

I have an 03 Ram 1500 that quit blowing hot air. I have heard of doors not opening to divert the air to the heater core. Heater hoses are both hot, so I'm pretty sure the water is going where it's supposed to, just not the air.
Thanks

Re: Ram 1500 heater not heating

Thanks for the link, but it is on how to replace the ignition switch for the fan. Already fixed that problem. I think I found another link that shows how to repair the blend door, which sounds like my problem. Thanks for the help

Re: Ram 1500 heater not heating

These older Rams did have issues with doors breaking. Whether it was the blend doors or the recirculation doors, I have replaced several. If i am remembering right for the blend door actuator you can lower the glove box and see the actuator on the left side of the opening. You can turn the temp knob back and forth and see if the actuator is moving or not. Some vehicles when it has a door issue it will deactivate the actuator, so you may have to disconnect the battery so it will run through a recalibration. I can't remember off hand if you can actually remove the actuator without removing the dash or not. The actuator should move so far and quit. If the door is broke then the actuator will just keep turning and turning. If it doesn't move then if you can disconnect the connector and use a DMM and a small pin and check for voltage at the connector. It doesn't happen very often but I have seen some HVAC control head issues.
