toyota echo issue
also the other main issue that im having with my 2001 Toyota echo it the strut mounts this car takes 3 different types of strut mounts TYPE A .... TYPE B... AND AN OFFSET MOUNT. i don't know what type of mount my car takes i cant tell by looking at the top of the mount..i went back to the dealership AGAIN ! and even gave them my Vin number and they came up with nothing THE STUPID PARTS GUY TOLD ME WHAT I ALREADY KNEW.that it takes 3 types of mounts that it could take either one i cant believe that the Vin number couldn't tell him what mount my car takes ! he told me id have to order all three types and send back the ones that aren't the right ones theres no way im doing that. I went to another stupid auto parts store Auto zone they told me the same thing and their mounts are very expensive my friend told me that there is a number stamped on the bottom of the strut mount but id have to remove the strut to see it and then cross reference the numbers.. but the mounts are bad and if the studs break off im out of a car... can anyone tell me how i can tell which strut mount this car has without removing the whole strut ??? thanks

Re: toyota echo issue
Put your VIN number in the search function in this site and get the Toyota part number.
https://toyotapartsestore.com/ Buy from Amazon if they have it. Best prices.

Re: toyota echo issue
thanks Brian .. but i i finally found what type of mount my echo has .i contacted the manufacturer of the struts that i have and ran the strut numbers...and it came up with the exact mounts....i appreciate your help and yes the man at the dealership was an idiot ..he couldnt help me with my front brake pad rattling problem either ! these cars had a front pad rattle and squeal problem which im also having. i went to the dealership to see if they had the shims for the front pads to stop the rattling and he said they dont carry the shims but if i bought the new pads from him it would fix the rattle problem he showed me the pads and they were the same as mine .HE IS AN IDIOT i know somewhere out there someone has to just sell the shims alone i can live with the squealing but not the rattling it sounds like the whole front end is coming apart.. SO IF ANYONE OUT THERE KNOWS WHERE I CAN GET A SET OF FRONT BRAKE PAD SHIMS FOR MY 2001 TOYOTA ECHO PLEASE LET ME KNOW....thanks again everyone
