Sorry about that... being the minority on AF has me on the defensive. You wouldn't believe how many "flamers" write dumb stuff when they read what car I have. They say things like "My '02 Mustang can whip your azz, foo!" and I can't help thinking that their car is 20 YEARS NEWER... so it is no real accomplishment!

Anyway, yes the majority of DeLoreans are in pretty sad shape. They are dull with beat up interiors and look pretty sad. My DMC was very sad when I bought it (was rolled over), but now it is pretty sweet! I'll post good pics some day... I really want to get a pic in front of Neptune's Net (as seen in Fast & Furious). I drive by it all the time.

I don't know what they were thinking by leaving cup holders out... but then again can you think of any other 1981-83 car that had cup holders? Seems they're a recent invention.

I'm okay with the power. Yes, I wish the DMC could beat a F60 or Diablo... but for the price its good. If I had the $$$, I'd buy the Ultima GTR ($80k). It can keep up with the McLaren F1. Now that is fast!!!

Cupholders are really new...I think the 1986 Ford Taurus was the first car to have them. Even my 1991 Escort (1996 Escorts are the same) just has primitive cupholders that are just single-sized (non-adjustable) and really shallow.

I just remembered that my mother's 1984 Plymouth Voyager had cupholders, but they were basically circles on a flat plastic shelf. Hey wait a minute... the old '77 Mercedes I owned had the same kind of thing, but they were in the door of the glove compartment. Basically you could put a cup of tea in there while the car was parked

Just drill holes into the dashboard, or buy those "Type R" metal cupholders they sell on the Web!

I don't like those vent mounted cupholders, they look so busy. I'd just put the drink between my legs and hope I don't spill it

Some cars permit holding the cup between legs, but the DMC does not. Or maybe it is the way I drive? Hehehe:smoker2: Just kidding.
