GT-R Proto Unveiled
C'mon, what the fuck is wrong with Nissan, this looks like an RX-8 and 350Z mixed together.

Re: GT-R Proto Unveiled
I really like it. It's more sleek than the 2001 concept, and the exposed carbon fiber bits(grille, front bumper, A-pillar, rear wing) hint at more carbon body components.
Anyway, this is still just a concept, you know. There will still be some changes made to the production car, but how much will be changed is anyone's guess.

Re: GT-R Proto Unveiled
I'm in love with it! I seriously hope the car gets to the United States, I'll sell every car I own, and go $40,000+ in debt to get it.
Why does everyone think it's ugly? I'm not sure what everyone else was expecting. -Wes

I just think it looks like they took an RX-8 and 350Z, mixed it together, then took the 350Z's ass lights and put it on the front. Doesn't look bad but they got no where near as good as they did with the R34.

Re: GT-R Proto Unveiled
Well I agree with you there... But keep in mind, all of these cars have always looked somewhat similar. Honestly, I think it's time for a change, and the Twin Turbocharged VQ with the new sleek modern design does great!
I'm excited about it... Hopefully I'll be able to afford the Damn thing. -Wes

Re: GT-R Proto Unveiled
The $60-$100,000 price range sucks though, but performance will be top notch
As for the look, i agree with ZedEx, it's about time Nissan changed the GT-Rs overall look, and I really like it.

Re: GT-R Proto Unveiled
I don't see why people thinks its ugly. It looks very sleek, and alot better than the previou concept. It will be interesting to see what this thing will do when its released. I can't wait!

Now all I need to think about is if I should sell my 350z and get some money for it and take out a loan and go with the GTR. +D haha. |

looks awful
i think it is even worse then the last design, i like the rear but the front just has all the wrong angles, and from teh side it looks exactly like an 05 mustang wich i hate, no rear fenders? the single greatest exterior feature of the r34 was its headlight design and fender flares, some way to incorporate the r34 headlight design would make this car awesome.
this is a proto and i hope they change a lot before the official release. Im looking at this car or the Audi RS4. Right now the Audi is looking much better and performance of the two cars should be about the same with the skyline performing better slightly because it is a coupe.... i hope they get it right V6 twin turbo with all wheel drive 400-500hp vs high rev V8 420 hp quattro im basically just in love with the r34 gtr and i want to see more of it in the next generation, looks will make or break my decision on this car |

Re: looks awful
Oh yeah, I'm with you buddy. I want a U.S. R34, not these 350Z/RX-8/2005 Mustang coagulated conglomerate of a fuckwad piece of puke proto-types that they keep coming up with. I think Nissan should make this fucking dude's design below into the next car. I would sell my truck, my DSM and my Mustang to buy one if it looks similar to this. It really flows from the R34.

Re: GT-R Proto Unveiled
That GTR- R3-X flows because it is just an R34 chop, that looks more like what they call a "facelift" than a new car. Personally my favorite Skylines are the R32 GTR-N1 and the R34 GT-T coupe and sedan

Re: GT-R Proto Unveiled
I really liked the the proto of the new r35 but i think theyre is still room for improvement. Im really feelin that design that automobile maniac posted especially for the front end. The rear end on the proto doesnt look bad thou.

Re: GT-R Proto Unveiled
Not everyone will ever be happy with a car coming out, granted, but get over it, the r32, 33, and 34s are already out, their not gonna make them again, if your so in love go get one of those instead of complaining about a car that you'll never own.
I dont understand, yes the body styling is new, because its a new car and things have to change, how can you tools not be excited by the gentelmens agreement being cut and japanese power houses coming out once again, these cars are going to be monsterous and I for one cant wait to be behind the wheel in one. someone get these guys a box of tissues, because if you're crying about these cars just wait another 5 years when the line discontinues and they redesign it AGAIN. |
