How do you lower your Fujimi models?

I am starting my 180SX soon and I want to know the best way to lower it. I am pissed off that Fujimi didnt give me the option to lower it like they do with the Integra. I really want to slam it because it will be a drifter. Is there anywhere I can read a step by step guide?

bit kike tamiya kits really hard to lower,no room inside the wheel arches you could try cutting the top off the wheel and glue it to the wheel arch

Towelboy is absolutely right;
I used a similar technique, lowering teh sprins and reshaping (sectioning and re-gluing) the triangles.
This should be an easy way, as long as you cut them at equal lengths.

This was used on my ITR and I was really satisfied with results.

Oh, and I don't reccomend Theoldboy's method, because you will lose the realism of the suspentions.

Just cut and remove whatever interferes with the tire.

you're building the exact same 180SX as i am. what are your plans for it for color and wheels etc.? i'm making mine a drifter as well. it definitley needs to be lowered, as i've seen a couple of built ones on AF that weren't and they look like 4x4's. i'll probably be using the technique of cutting part of the shock off.

guys, I am working on initial D s14 early version. the kit is good, it comes with extra parts, Nismo Skyline GTR racing seats, exhaust(larger), and flat wing.

However, I have to lower the car since its ride height is very HIGH. I chopped the front suspension and A-arm for 3.5mm, and the rear for 1.5mm. It is totally pain in the ass, I spent over 10 hours doing the mod job. And for the rims, I am thinking to put vienna crisis for it, still not decided yet. your input is welcome.

As I said, the suspension was moved towards the inner, you can see the inner hole and the original hole was filled with putty. and in the second pics, the A Arms were moved upwards, so that the car is lowered.

I will most likely put 17 inch Advan RG rims on the car. I am not sure what colour to paint it yet but probably a light metallic blue with gold rims or even pearl white with white rims. We'll soon see

Will it work if I just file all the parts on the chassis that joins the suspension and axels onto the car so that the whole suspension/axel assembly sits lower?
