2012 F 250 gas filler problem

We have this truck at work,it's a 2012 F 250.2 door 4x4 with 8ft box and a single fuel tank.We are experiencing an issue when we fill it with gas in that it won't accept much more than about a quart or 2 in the filler tube before it kicks the gas nozzle out. It's acting like the gas isn't flowing into the tank fast enough to empty the filler tube and it's backing up causing the safety shutoff of the pump nozzle to kick off.I thought maybe it has something to do with the vent hose from the tank but when I looked under the truck to see what was going on I'd almost say that the problem lies in the fact that the fuel filler hose runs too flat and there isn't enough of a downward angle into the tank for the gas to empty out of the hose fast enough.Does this sound logical? Is there something else we can check to maybe cure this? It took about 20 minutes to put approximately 3/4 of a tank of gas in the truck yesterday so there's definitely a problem somewhere.
We bought the truck used so |I have no idea if this was present before we got it.
