Fan only runs on settings 3-4-5
My blower fan for my HVAC only runs when the switch is on settings 3-4-5. Do I need to just replace the fan switch or do you think it is something else?
Thanks for the help. |

Re: Fan only runs on settings 3-4-5
The blower motor resistor is an issue that creeps up in most GM vehicles. It usually starts with speeds one and two going out then progresses until only speed #5 works. The resistor is not expensive and is usually located next to the fan motor. I am not certain where it is located on the Montana!

It's a bit of trick to get at it, but I found that taking the motor out gave me a bit more room. Here's a link to an old post that includes the beefed up OEM part number for the replacement resistor: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...motor+resistor |
