1990 F-250 diesel, shutdown after 15 mins.
I'm relaying here for my brother who doesn't 'do' computer.
1990 F-250 diesel 5-spd 7.3l, just replaced motor, starts and runs find - for 15 minutes, then shuts itself off. The old motor wasn't working at all - towed truck to work on it. 'New' motor is same as one being replaced. He and another brother are doing the work. Any guesses? |

65comet, thanks for the tip. I did find a whole thread about a similar problem, but that was on newer vehicles.
My brother was able to determine that he had attached 2 wires to the injection pump backwards. Once he corrected them, the truck runs fine. |
