What Parts do I need for the Tune Up?
Dear, all.
Not new to the auto-motor, however new to the "Hyundai" Got "Elantra" GT with 92000 original miles and trying to figure out what parts do I need for the TUNE UP? I have gotten the plugs and wires, I have gotten the air filter... Could you please tell me whether this car has the DISTRIBUTOR/CAP/ROTOR/ or does it have the electronic ignition??? in which case I do not have to buy the distributor cap, rotor and so one and so forth...??? Please kindly help with this question, so that I will know how to proceed? Are there any special requirements / difficulties in the "Tune Up"? Process??? Please kindly help. Your attention is greatly appreciated!

Re: What Parts do I need for the Tune Up?
Welcome!!
I'm new to Hyundai but not new to DIY car repair/maintainence. The year of the car is important as it helps narrow down problematic areas for that year of vehicle as well as what should be tuned up... So what year is your car? |

Re: What Parts do I need for the Tune Up?
Sounds like you've got the basics covered... Plugs, wires, filters.... You might consider changing the transmission fluid as well. One more item you could consider is the fuel filter?? Not sure where it is on your model year but mine is an '07 and it is in the tank...Access through the rear seat, underneath.
