I just got a job at the local Porsche/ Bmw dealership. I'm the lot attendant which is a low level job but I get to drive a ton of sweer cars around. So far I have driven every new BMW 3 series, 5 series, and 7 series (except 760). Unfortunately no M series yet and the Z8. For Porsches I have driven a Boxter (S), Cayenne (S, Turbo), and 911 (Carrera, S, Targa, Turbo). There is a Carrera GT which I get to wipe down every day but that thing never gets moved. It's pretty sweet that I get to drive cars like this every day and I get paid for it.

I get paid 7.50 an hour. Its not a whole lot but its decent for what I do. I was just looking for an easy job with the potential to be fun, which I found.

Re: Whats the coolest car you've ever driven/ been in

so do you actually drive them, or do you just "drive" them around the lot, like moving them from parking spot to parking spot?

It varies. A lot of the time I am just moving them around the lot when I need to wash them. About once a week I get to gas up the ones that are low. Which requires me to drive them down the street (I always make the best out of pulling into the street). Every other day I have to run some errands and I can take whatever used car I want. I haven't taken a Porsche yet for this but will soon. But that gives me like 40 min to drive around town in whatever I choose. I have also helped deliver a couple of cars to some customers, which sometimes is an hour round trip. I have driven a Cayenne and Cayenne S doing this. I haven't done this yet but sometimes they need someone to drive a car to the partner dealership, an hour away. These are usually really nice cars and a chance for a lot of fun since no on else is with you for the trip. I can't wait till I get the chance to do this. I have only worked for 2 weeks and I have driven basically every model BMW and Porsche at least down the street and back. More time will bring increased trust from my bosses and more chances to drive nice cars. So that this was so long, but I wanted to give the complete picture.

Re: Whats the coolest car you've ever driven/ been in

my friend's dad's modified CL65, no body or interior mods, bored out engine to 7.5 litre, two more turbos (now quad turbo) uprated intercooling system an improved fuelling, dunno what else, and his brother's "lexus" with 3.5 litre cutom-block engine with 3 turbos, doesnt run well on the road, i tried driving it at bruntingthorpe proving ground, did badly. other than that it's my mum's Audi TT convertible, 1.8 litre turbo twin inter coolers, quattro drivetrain
