head light problem

I have a 2004 x type with both headlight adjustment rods broken. Can I get the rods or adjusters replaced with out having to replace the whole headlight assembly. As frail as these seem I have to think others have had the same problem..

Re: head light problem

I would get the one to work, because the plastic lens will go bad anyways in a few years, than consider buying a salvaged or new light.

LOL - How about aligning HEAD light, and use liquid nails for the short!

Re: head light problem

There is no replacement for the small rods. You have to purchase an assembly, new or used.
If you take the headlight to a machine shop however someone may be able to make a metal rod replacement and install it. That is something you can try to find out from a local shop.
