2000 Saturn SL1 Bulldog remote starter

Hello! I have just installed a bulldog remote starter in my girlfriends car and everything works great except for the engine light comes on when I use the remote but not the key. The code that I got out of the computer was for a cam sensor and this model does not even have a cam sensor. I have called bulldog but they just keep telling me that something is not hooked up right. I have checked over the wiring probably a hundred times. LOL. This is really getting old and I would like to get this problem solved so I can have my garage back. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

Re: 2000 Saturn SL1 Bulldog remote starter

the code may or maynot be related to the bull dog install

did you happen to tap into a wire off the ignition module that has 633 printed on it? if not-

I am still having this problem except I unplugged both modules and the light still comes on now with everything back to factory. I have no idea what is going on, I reset the code and start the car with the key and the light comes on every time. Any ideas on what to check?????

You tripped the Passlock2 system. Poor PK2 bypasses or improperly wired systems cause havok in these cars. Contact www.bypasskit.com to get the part you need.

I sell starters from Directed and I use #555L on almost all GM vehicles. Well, when doing this car, I have to ground the "ground sense" wire directly to the kick panel inorder from getting the service engine light.

Re: Re: 2000 Saturn SL1 Bulldog remote starter

I figured out the problem. when I unhooked the wiring from the coil pack to hook up the tach wire I bent one of the pins on the connector so that it was not getting a connection. Thanks everyone for your help. This is a really good site and I will be back to help others just like you guys helped me. Thanks again.
