Re: performance upgrades for cheap
Hey All, been lurking here for a little while, so After this I should go to the newby section to say "Hey".
But.... I dont need to go 100+ in my metro. its a metro and thats not why I like it. but I would like to be able to hold the 75 mph speed when traveling down the freeway. Went to TN (from MN) and I would be doing 85 down the sloping hills and then 70 up them. It was really annoying. (HA HA HA did get the little rollor skate up to 90ish down one of them longer hilld in WI.) what do you think, I cant imagion a better intake. its only a little 3cyl. maybe some exhaust? or maybe a t30 turbo with a 400 shot nitrus? HA HA HA just kidding. |

Re: performance upgrades for cheap
well because of the gear ratio that the car has it probably wont do much better than the 90 down and 70 up but increasing the horsepower might help it some. and as for my post the other night dont mind me i was having a dumb moment from lack of sleep

Re: performance upgrades for cheap
Count yourself lucky to do 70 up a hill! My 95'3 cyl slows to about 80 km/h (50 mph) up hills when I drive though the rockies. I get funny looks cause I go down them at 130km/h (80mph)

Re: performance upgrades for cheap
ha ha ha 50 up hill in the rockys is not bad. When I was younger we lived in LA and had a 1970 vw beetle. there were spots going through the moutains that we had to do it in reverse.
Around here we have rolling hills. not a 90 deg slope! HA HA HA |

Really?? I have had no problems with my metro in winter. I thought it was pretty good all in all. Its no jeep but then again I think we all understand that. |
