Tonight I tailed a guy in a maranello 550. I think he either knew I was back there, or he normally drives like a jackass. Of course, in my book, you're allowed to do that (hell, even supposed to) when you're in a shiny new ferrari.

I had the rare opportunity to not only see, but drive one of the rarest cars on the road in America. I drove a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 with the rare combination of LS6 and convertible. Only 25 were produced and today only 17 are known to still exist. Granted, I only drove it from the museum door to the trailer, but it was still a cathartic experience for me.

I saw an XLR, SL500, a BMW 2002 in great condition, and a CL600 (I've seen this car a few times, the owner lives near me), and a Porsche 911 Cabrio, could have been a Turbo Cabrio since I didnt get a great look.
And 2 rebadged cars: a BMW 325i sedan with all the badges off, and an ///M logo on the back. It had the M rims, but the what gave it away was the fact that it was a sedan... The driver could have pulled it off if it was a 325ci/330ci coupe with fake side vents. a Mercedes E430 with an ///AMG logo tacked on the back. Could have fooled me, but ther idiot driver left the "E430" on the back. He didn't want to spring the 20 bucks for the "E55" logo.

This actually a real rare car sighting.
I was right outside of my house (I live 3 houses away from the highway) and (this was during rush hour, about 8:00 am) and a black, or possibly dark grey Maserati Quattroporte. It was the first Quattroporte I've seen in Minnesota, besides the Auto Show. But there is a new dealership I havent been to yet. And my friend just got a 2004 Jeep GC Loredo Special edition w/ 20" chrome rims. His dad owns 2 Ferrari's (550, 456) and a Porsche Carerra GT by the way.

I saw a BMW 750Li V12 last night. It pulled up right next to me at an intersection. It had 19" chrome rims and tinted windows all around. It was awesome. I was in a Suburban, and I thought the 'Burb's engine was big...

I once thought I saw a lamborghini countach at night, it was really dark and I couldn't be sure, it's probably wasnt so thats not a confirmed one. Part from that I know of two XC Falcon Cobras near my joint, seen them a couple of times. Seen some mustangs which are considered rare in Australia and a couple of ferraris. Porsches aren't even worth mentioning they're all over the place.

Re: whats the rarest car you've seen on the street?
My AP physics teacher owns three '05 Dodge Vipers. One red, one black, one silver. He says he has one for each of his three sons when he dies. He drives them to school almost every day. Never in the rain or winter, though.

Some guy parked a late 40's era Buick in my school parkinglot. Who the hell parks a car in that great of condition in a high school paringlot? It was really good looking, though.

I also saw a Mustang SVT Cobra cabrio last night at the Jeep dealership.
BTW, I am getting a brand new 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee today. So it's all good. Plus my friend's 1969 Mercury Montego (351 V8). All custom. Front dropped 2".
