Convertible tops???
Has anyone ever replaced a convertible top? Is it something I can do myself or should I have it done by a trim shop? Any recommendations on brands? I've looked at http://www.topsonline.com/ and they have tops with original style plastic window or glass window. From their list of installers I found one near me but he doesn't use their brand anymore and he doesn's recommend the glass window.
Thanks for any help, Rob

Re: Convertible tops???
Kee Convertible tops makes a good quality replacement top that you can custom order in any color. Black and White are standard. Order directly from them and not someone who sells their tops. It will get to you in two to three days versus two weeks from JC Whitney and it is cheaper. I just installed my own and it took a good deal of precision work. You have to fit it just right or folds will appear along the top and overlap on the windows is a real concern. It took me about 4 hours to get it all right. Once you remove the old top (which is kind of a pain to figure out if you have not done it before) the new just gets glued and stapled back over the frame. I did it myself but if you do not have the patience to get the fit perfect a pro might be your best bet.

Re: Convertible tops???
Thanks for the help, I'll check out the tops from Kee.
What kind of glue and staple gun will I need? I have the patience and time to do it as long as my wife isn't there asking "How much longer?" Just want to make sure I have everything needed before starting.
