Wiring Harness -- universal vs reproduction
Got a 66 Goat and I want to replace its old wiring with new harnesses and fuse box. I am looking for thoughts on universal kits like from American Autowire of a reproduction harness from YearOne. I do want to add power locks and windows and autometer gauges and other stuff down the road and I am not too sure which is the better way to go.

Re: Wiring Harness -- universal vs reproduction
Go with an original style reproduction harness, in order to preserve the original appearance and value of your car.
It will also be easier to install than a universal one. |

Re: Wiring Harness -- universal vs reproduction
That's what I was leaning towards but I am going to put in AutoMeter Cobalt gauges and I don't think reproduction harnesses will work. Can anyone confirm my suspicion?
