I honestly don't have time for this model anymore. At least for now. I'm in school 30 hours a week (at Lincoln Tech doing an automotive program... just passed 4 ASE tests too) and I work 40 hours a week. I have to keep up with my website ( www.supercarfreak.net ) that I made over a year ago On top of that my parents bought me a red 2001 Z06 and bought my brother a blue 2002 M3. Add in my dad's car and you have a nice trio. Pics here: http://www.supercarfreak.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=3723 So basically I have 2 afternoons free each week which I generally spend driving my car instead of getting frustrated building a car model.

I bought my K55 some time ago could be 10 years. I'm sure I got it before I was married 9 years ago but I'm not sure. I completed it in a couple months and I'm still in awe of this car. Recently I decided to dissassemble it and give it a good cleaning/detailing. I did some searches on ebay for broken parts I needed and found scaledetails.com where I've ordered some bits.
With all the searching I've done, I came across this thread and have read it completely. By the 4th page I was getting worried as the images stopped working although you posted a link to your gallery at supercarfreak.net and I feel better now. What you've done here is far beyong amazing and that you've done such an excellent job of documenting it is pure icing on the cake. I understand everybody has a life and things or circumstances change but I hope you will soon consider getting back on this project as I'm sure the feeling of completion will be worth it. I kind of feel like I got a great book out of the library and the last pages are missing. LOL. No pressure. Just consider it and I hope to get an email from this forum someday soon saying that the posts are back on track. I know you'd want to keep your F40 for yourself but I bet there are collectors out there that would pay you 5 figures for what you've done. Good job and Thanks! |
