'93 Geo Metro 2 door hatchback 1.0L 3Cyl 5Spd HOW MUCH IS IT WORTH?

Hello everyone,

I live in MT and I have a '93 Geo Metro 2 door hatchback 1.0L 3Cyl 5Spd Manual 130K miles, just the base model no options added, and I have a question how much is it worth?

It needs a new engine or rebuild (i.e.running on 1 Cyl, smokes A LOT, burning A QT of oil a week, compression was 20-40-90 about 6 months ago)

Condition:
Needs:
-New tires
-Hatch supports
-Starter
-Shocks

Misc:
-heater barely puts out any air
-windows keep coming off the tracks
-a few interior panels have pieces missing
-clear coat is pealing on the roof

I did a clutch job on it about 10K ago and the Trans shifts smoothly.

Why don't YOU fix it up ?

$250 for the head rebuild (local)

Maybe $200 or so for Rings, Rod Bearings, misc crap, tool rental, etc.

You'll have a 50 mpg vehicle that will go another 200,000 miles with loving care
given to it...!

As in ??? Well it has never been in a accident body has a few minor dings but thats about it, no rust.

We (my family and me) are planning to move this year so I don't have the time plus we just bought this other Geo to drive around.

As far as your car goes, if the control arm mounting areas underneath arn't rusted, its worth fixing everything. These cars are going for alot of money. The fuel savings alone make it worth your time.

OK, I just figured out that it was Ken. Ken, post a pic of you vert when you get the hubcaps on!

Well I'm think $1200.00 because I have done some more research and I have a friend that just sold one for $695.00 that was in WAY I mean WAY worse condition (all kinds of rust, more miles then mine, big dents, engine didn't run)

It was me but the hubcaps were for another metro. The convertible has 13's on it. Ken
