'99 Tacoma Airbags
I recently bought a '99 Tacoma that had been in a wreck with front end damage. The previous owner had repaired the body damage but not the airbags which had deployed. The airbag light is on.
I'd like to get them repaired. Is this something I can do myself if I get replacement airbags from a junkyard? Would I also have to replace the module? Where are the sensors and how do I know if they are ok? I'd appreciate any advice on this matter. Thanks, bgberg |

Re: '99 Tacoma Airbags
If I were you, I would take it to a body shop or the dealer and have them fix it. Airbags are a serious issue to work on. They may not work when you need them or may deploy when you are holding them next to your balls. Unless you are a pro, I would give it a second thought.
