Mach system 2003 Mustang GT
I'm having a problem changing this stock mach system in my 2003 Ford mustang GT. I got the wiring off of Crutchfield and all wired everything up, the web site said it should have been plug and play but I'm only getting sound out of my front tweeters and rear speakers. Would installing crossovers to fix this? I have a set of crossovers but I never used them before. Whoever owned this car before me took out the factory amplifier so everything is ran off of the head unit. Eventually I am going to reamp everything but for now I just want some sound and my tweeters have bass going to them and I do not want them to blow, the only solution that I see besides crossovers is to just cut wires which I do not want to do. I could switch the wires from the tweeters to the speakers in the front door but then I would have no tweeters. I just want to get sound out of all my speakers I think the crossovers will work I just want to be sure before I try it, and to see if there is a simpler solution. I will appreciate any advice and or tips.

run the wire that goes to the tweeter to the crossover, then wire the tweeter output to the dash and the mid output to the door speakers

Re: Mach system 2003 Mustang GT
Thank you PaulD. And this will sound okay running off of the deck? Or should I just wait until I'm going to amp everything?
Thanks again ~Drew

Re: Mach system 2003 Mustang GT
well once again thanks for the help I finished up yesterday everything sounds great for stock speakers. I'm going to look into amping everything tomorrow so I can see if I can get some better sound they are the stock speakers but they are suppose to come amped and they currently aren't so I know I can get way better sound out of them.
Wish me luck ~Drew~
