'93 Metro - Adjusting Idle for Winter ????

My '93 Metro runs fine in Summer, but when cold out the idle is
so low that when the lights are on and the fan and radio are on,
the engine dies when I come to a stop sign or stop light.

I can't see any idle adjustment screw on the throttle linkage.

Isn't the system supposed to compensate for the lights, heater fan
and radio on?

My car has the "Throttle Body" - i.e. a single injector on what looks
like a carburetor.

The only thing I can see to do is loosen the linkage hold-down
nuts and back the link tube out to make the idle arm move up slightly.

Yes or no?

The Chilton manual says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about an idle
adjustment - that I can find, anyway!

Thanks.

Re: '93 Metro - Adjusting Idle for Winter ????

if you look on the throttle body slightly above and to rear of where throttle cable you will see a little rubber black plug. if its still there remove it and use a small screwdriver back the screw out while car is running till its gets to correct sounding idle speed. if plug is missing you will see a hole in side of throttle body. usually won't take more than a turn or two to get speed where it belongsif you don't find the hole or plug let me know and will snap a pic on one of my spare throttle bodies
