Re: How much money did you spend on audio?

I started on my system about 3 months ago. And with building my own box ($20 for the wood), Ive spent $950. Ive got 2 10" L7s, a Kenwood 920w amp, two 6.5 2-way pioneer speakers in the front and two 3-way pioneer speakers in the rear, and an Eclipse CD5444 head unit.

Re: How much money did you spend on audio?

Wow 950 is alot for all that, my first one was a little over 800

2-infinity perfects 170, profile ca600 amp 100, panasonic cq-dfx 983u HU 350 which the most expensive part, mb quart 6x9 speakers 90 and a set of pioneer 4x6 plates 30 for the front, prefab box was about 45 and the wiring was about 30.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: How much money did you spend on audio?

My car came with good speakers, so i didnt need to buy the 2 front and 2 rear, i made my own box, 2 sony xplod subs, 1 lightning audio amp, and a JVC deck with the iPod interface hook up, and i bought a 550 watt amp hook up kit, total was like little over 500, sounds pretty good...ofcourse they dont sound as good as Kicker or MTX, but they are still good

yea it's weird the one thing that those share in common though is that their amps are pretty good.

Re: How much money did you spend on audio?

Well im saying as opposed to other subs on the market i will admit mtx amps are awsome, and kickers are just the same but damn you will pay a few pretty penies for them.

Re: How much money did you spend on audio?

first started with a panisonic deck, kicker 6 1/2 mids and highs, 2 15" kicker CVR's (07 models) vented enclosure and a planet audio 1400D 1,250 class d mono amp. somone broke into my cherokee a few days later and stole my system but left the viper alarm on the back seat. so I got the alarm installed, replaced the deck with an alpine 6.5 touch screen dvd player, still have the kickers mids and highs, 2 new 15" kicker CVX subs, 2 planet audio 2200d class d mono block amps, and a planet audio 4004 4 channel amp.

Re: How much money did you spend on audio?

What series are they, 1200 is alot for an amp and subs. My subs where 300 for the set and the amp was about 300. But i just got deal on a re sx 18 so my 15"s are becoming my home theater sub and the other is going into my accord.

At least you do research unlike half the other bozos on here and everywhere else. They ask if its good after they buy it.

I paid about what retail was for my subs 150 each and 18 for shipping, and the MM75.4 was like 175 shipped and the MM1000.1d was like 287 after shipping. I just picked up a nice 0 guage install kit made by fusion for 80 from a local custom shop. Not bad considering the wire alone else where is about 2-3 a foot and i got 25', 3' for ground, 10' of 12 ga, fuse block, remote wire, and some 4 ga and a dist block. I couldnt beat the deal.

But il get some new pics up soon i have the door pods in the works and im waiting for the sx 18.
