2006 Avalon 3.5 Piston Slap

Want to replace my 3.5 engine in my 2006 Avalon because it has a lot of piston slap noise. Does the engine come out the top or the bottom?

Thank you Brian!
It looks like it would be easier coming out the bottom!

Try downloading it here. You may have to register to download.
Click the Download button (next to "Share" button) just under the file name at the top. Find the gray button with "Free Download' on it.

Re: 2006 Avalon 3.5 Piston Slap

Brian,
My anti-virus software is preventing me from downloading the manual. Is there any other site or way I can download it?

The 3.5 coming out the bottom should not be too difficult. I don't have a hoist, but have done them before out the bottom.

Re: 2006 Avalon 3.5 Piston Slap

I would temporarily deactive the control preventing the download. I personally created and uploaded the .zip file and there are no viruses within it or the files from which it was created. I am trying to find a more user-friendly file storage site. If you know of one, please make a suggestion.

Brian,
Do you have a Gmail account? If so, you could load it on your google drive and share it. Or do you have a dropbox.com account? Could upload it there.

I tried to share the file through Google. Let me know if it works.
