SAE threads on VTEC?
I have a bunch of preludes and just recently came across an interesting fact: On the H22A4 (maybe all the H22A's, not sure) there is a place with SAE threads. Any of you motorheads out there know where it is?

Re: SAE threads on VTEC?
the idler pulley for the oil pump and balancer is locked onto a shaft that goes through the timing belt tightener pulley. If you remove the nut that locks the idler (M10/1.25) and the pulley, there a nut on the shaft you can put a 14mm wrench and remove the shaft... that end is threaded into the block with 7/16-20 threads: SAE 7/16 NF.
a fact you can maybe use to win a bar bet. |
