Power Window Failing
I have a 2006 Outlander. My driver door window is going so slow it is almost stopping. I am taking the door apart today to lubricate the track.
Has anyone else experienced this? If the lube doesn't help, I will have to order a new motor unless someone in here has another suggestion. I will keep you all "posted" hehe. |

Re: Power Window Failing
I took the door apart and sprayed silicone all along the side tracks that extend out into the window frame and I also sprayed the main track that runs down the middle of the door (on the inside only). There were no immediate results, but after a few days, it seems to have sped up the window.
Unfortunately, I believe this was too little too late because it is still pretty slow. I have ordered a refurbished (or rebuilt) motor and will update this post once it arrives and I install it. I ordered a used one because new ones are $400 after tax. The used one was only $120 (plus duty, if that was not already included - I live in Canada and ordered from the US). |

Re: Power Window Failing
