Studio27 Online shop

Anyone who dares to share insights about the Studio27 Online shop, http://studio27onlineshop.com/ ,and their (lack of) will to reply to emails?
I have tried to place an order for delivery internationally, but the order form only accepts Japanese addresses etc.
When asking for assistance I am yet to receive a reply, first attempt at contacting them was more than a month ago.
Not really the way to attract business.

Some japanese companies don't seem interested (to say the least) in making business with overseas customers unless they are distributors...

I doubt they ship overseas. Your best bet is to buy through other online shops that deal with overseas customers.

This is your best bet. I tried the same thing last year. Never got a reply. Contact
http://www.hiroboy.com/ pretty sure he's a distributor for Studio 27, and can likely order what you want if he doesnt have it already, can also try http://www.spotmodel.com/index.php both vendors have great customer service and excellent selections.

They even claim free shipping internationally for orders exceeding 15000 JPY so I really think they do sell directly overseas.
Quote their site:
"International shipping: over 15000/JPY, is worldwide free shipping by registered airmail."

I have managed to order an item directly from them some years ago, back when they wanted the order form faxed...
Too bad I scraped my fax machine

Does anyone know where Studio27 is located in Japan? Do they have a hobby shop?

I'm pretty sure I bought direct from them before for an alfa upgrade set. Didn't get much comms until they needed to adjust bill but service was all good with usual import speed of about a month including the time when the parts weren't actually released.

It's because Japanese people speak Japanese language, and English is just a study subject students grow to hate in school.
You'll be confused by the fact that average Japanese people have a fair vocabulary skill, yet extremely poor at real communication in English.
That's because we don't learn English from native English speakers, but only by reading textbooks and taking exams.

After being in Japan as a tourist all of October this year I have to agree with this.
Most of the westerners we met that worked in Japan were tutoring English.

I managed to order my kit from the website after being clever and going through the source code of the pages and using translation services.
Now I have tried getting an update on the progress of shipment etc.
I even emailed Studio27 using Google Translate to get a Japanese email and still they have not replied.
That is poor communication and not much like any Japanese I know from my trip. Being the most polite people in the world I expected better.

Their lack of communication could just be staff issues..... someone not doing their job.
It may be better to make a purchase off one of Studio 27 International dealers. A business like HLJ will backorder anything available from the manufacturer if they don't have it in stock.

Re: Studio27 Online shop

I have bought from them direct before simply via email, i dont think they really wanted to but they did.
their job is to sell at a wholesale level i guess.
At the time i didnt even know they sold direct, i was simply asking about the availability of a couple PE sets that no retailer had in stock.
they encouraged me to buy from a retailer but i bought direct to save time as every store was out of stock of one or both i was after, but they had them.

communication wasnt the best but they were helpful and got the order out fairly quick.
