Aoshima has a Facebook page, and several of us managed to get a reaction from them about the McLaren F1 (part of an ongoing discussion on one of their Aventador photo threads), and their reply was quite positive. We shall see where it might go...

I'd be interested in an F1, especially the GTR!

Oh yes, good news. A McLaren F1 in plastic sounds good. Hopefully the GTR version.

A McLaren F1 seems to be one of the most wanted kits. I remember when the Ferrari 550/575 was one of the most wanted kits!

Re: Finally a plastic McLaren from Fujimi

When Aoshima replied to several of us on Facebook, they made it sound like they'd discussed it (McLaren F1) several times before, and getting such strong feedback from builders was a good sign that it *could* very well see the light of day. Let's hope!

Re: Finally a plastic McLaren from Fujimi

And with the successor to the F1 being released in the next year or so, it would be good timing for Aoshima to release an original F1 (and racing versions).

Good news. I think Aoshima's McLaren F1 will be issued much earlier than mine.
